Managing Anger

Children at Key Stage 2 level often see the evidence and consequences of anger but have not the understanding or coping skills to manage it in their young lives. This programme sensitively and safely brings a sense of clarity and reassurance around a complex issue.
Our programme:
Explains, using the language and experience familiar to the children:
- How anger is a normal and healthy part of who we are
- How expressing anger can be done in a responsible way which doesn’t hurt others
- How unhealthy anger comes from hurt, shame or frustration
- How expressing unhealthy anger leaves people “in pieces”
- The box of skills in managing anger
- Role-plays and activities
- Standing up for yourself in healthy ways
